Foundation Scholarship Guidelines

 

 

Applicants Must Meet the Following Requirements:

 

 

• Graduate from a high school in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (Washington, D.C. Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax County, Falls Church City, in Virginia and Prince Georges County, and Montgomery County in Maryland) by June 2014, OR be a member of Alfred Street Baptist Church.                                                                                                        

• US citizenship.                                                                                                                                                    

• Admitted to and committed to attend a four-year institution.                                                                  

• Demonstrated commitment to community service.                                                                              

• Maintained a solid academic records with a 2.75 or above grade point average and combined SAT scores (critical reading, math, writing) of 1300 or above / or composite ACT score of 19 or above.                                                                                    

• Exhibit financial need.

Award Amount: Approximately twenty one-year Legacy Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $25,000.  Two $20,000 Millennium Scholarships ($5,000 annually for up to 4 years).

 

Application Deadline: April 10, 2015.
