DEVELOPING AS A DISCIPLE

Vacation Bible School

Get ready for Vacation Bible School on June 23 – 27, 2014! This exciting week will offer a high energy environment for kids filled with learning God’s word, community service, fun-filled crafts, an incredible meal, and exciting games! In addition, this year Alfred Street will simultaneously host a week-long adult bible study, featuring a powerhouse line up of preachers, including our very own Alfred Street Baptist Church ministers.

Join in and volunteer and/or register you and your child! Our first volunteer training session is coming up soon!! Scrumptious lunch will be served while you will learn about our exciting theme, “Jungle Safari” and experience one of the most fun and interactive training sessions offered at ASBC.

“Vacation Bible School (VBS) provides a unique approach to learning the Bible and retaining an understanding of Godly principles presented in the Word of God. The programs of VBS increase excitement and participation in the church. VBS allows an environment for early spiritual growth, produces a great opportunity for outreach, and gives members of the Alfred Street Baptist Church a greater opportunity for fellowship. VBS defines success this way: Success = Salvation. All of the resources and tireless work of our VBS volunteers are executed with one goal in mind, which is seeing our kids grow in their knowledge and love for Jesus.

Every June, ASBC welcomes all ages for a week of Vacation Bible School. Children, youth and adults spend the week in Bible study, music, arts and crafts, games and fellowship, learning about God, the Bible and the joy in serving Him as disciples.

In only 5 days, Vacation Bible School (“VBS”) provides a unique approach to learning the Bible and cultivating and understanding of Godly principles. During the 2014 Vacation Bible School, volunteers, children, and adults gather for activities that include:

* High-energy praise and worship
* Interactive messages and skits
* Bible study and devotion
* Recreation and game time
* Music class
* Arts & Crafts
* A scrumptious dinner
* Sessions tailored for adult and young adult attendees
